A reader tells me it is raining in Chi.

The Arlington website's forecast was for thunderstorms alternating with sun. Weather service said 50% chance of rain.

That makes two factors which favor Mad About You. Dermot Weld, a winner at Arlington last year, declared in a Racing Post interview that he was hoping for rain.

Mad About You has the same early running style as Weld's Belmont winner Go and Go. Remember that Euro E horses are racing against the continental bias. This was the angle that allowed us to pick the winner of last year's Arlington Million.

Mad About You could inherit the pressing position behind Tizaqueena, Dynaforce and Points of Grace.

Therefore, Mad About You is a horse that I can use in the Beverly D. without forgetting about the exacta as place bet. Pure Clan continues to look like a legit fave.
